Dehumidifier: Noisy Operation
|
| Dehumidifier : Noisy Operation |
1. Make sure the dehumidifier is installed on a secure and level floor to prevent any unwanted noise. Do not place unit on any other appliance or object. Place directly on the floor in the room the unit is being operated. Air moves thru the unit and the fan will make noise as it cycles on and off. This is a normal noise. A large amount of moisture/humidity is being pulled from the air, a pinging sound comes from the fan, which is moisture hitting the fan blades. This is also normal. For best performance allow 12 - 18 inches around each side of the unit during operation. If the unit is in a enclosed space it the noise echoes from the surrounding areas around the unit. Placing the unit in an area with room to circulate air properly may reduce noise.
