LG TV Quick Setup Guide

HDMI is the best way to connect a device. If HDMI is not available, move down the list in order until you find a connection that is available on both devices.
Priority Name Video / Audio HD Support Description When to use it.
1. HDMI

Y

A digital connection supporting HD and Full HD (1080p) video and digital audio on the same cable. Best connection, use whenever available.
2. Component

Y

An analog connection that supports HD using a red, green, and blue cable for video and a red and white cable for audio Cable Boxes, older DVD players
3. Composite N Composite supports standard definition video only (480i), Also known as A/V (Audio/Video) VCRs, Older Camcorders
