1. Determine how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). Generally, this is the sound of food passing through the grinder. If the noise is too loud and continues to happen during the rinse cycle, unit may require service.
2. Determine how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). This is normal when water is being drawn into the unit. A whistling sound can be heard as the water is coming in to fill the unit during any cycle that uses water (Wash and Rinse). If water pressure is too high, the sound will be louder than usual and may need adjusting. Turn the water valve supplying the unit down to lower water pressure.
3. Determine how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). If noise happens when the door opens and closes, the unit may not be leveled properly. Adjust the leveling feet as shown in picture above.
4. Determine how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). At the beginning of the cycle the first 45 seconds is a drain function. This noise occurs when there is no water and air is coming into the pump. This is normal.
5. Determined how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). This sound occurs when air is pulled in through drain hose with water and drain hose outlet was installed lower than the base of unit. Reinstall the drain hose outlet higher than the base of the unit or install an air gap as shown above.
6. Determined how long the noise occurs and when it happens (what part of the cycle). This is generally caused by the unit not being leveled properly. Adjust the leveling legs at the base of unit . Make sure that the cabinet is upright and not tilted to the side (if mounting brackets are attached to the side).
