Ice maker issues

1.       If tray will not return to the upright position after a reset, perform reset again. Make sure that no ice is on the tray or feeler arm of the icemaker is preventing it from returning to the upright position. If ice has built up on tray or feeler arm remove ice by using a warm wet cloth and resume use.

2.       Minerals in the water can accumulate in the ice maker tray. A water purifying system may be required. Particles may be caused by debris in the ice bin. Periodically clean the ice cube tray and icemaker bin so debris does not accumulate. It is recommended that filter be changed every 4 to 6 months depending on use.

3.       The icemaker operates a motor to push ice out from tray to the ice bin about 15 minutes every 1.5 to 2 hours, during this operation, the motor makes drilling noises. If icemaker stops making this sound after the motor stop operating, ice making cycle is done. This is normal operation. If motor does not stop but runs continuously turn icemaker off, empty ice from bin and call for service.
