1. The water pressure for refrigerators is 21~121 PSI. If the water pressure is higher than this, water comes out of the tube too strong overshooting ice tray. A water pressure regulator can be used to reduce water pressure and prevent overshooting.
2. On Bottom Mount and French door units, the bin must be positioned properly on the tray drawer to prevent ice from spilling over. This bin should be pushed all the way in to the back and left so that it is directly beneath the Icemaker. If not, ice will not dump into the bin properly. This bin is smaller to fit the design of the freezer compartment. When the bin is pulled out to get ice, the arm will drag across the top of the bin, knocking a few cubes out. Lift up the arm on the icemaker prior to removing the bin to reduce spills.
3. The cube selector accommodates for water pressure. An increase in cube size adds one second to the amount of time the fill tube is open. Water will overfill the tray if water pressure is high. The recommended water pressure is 21~ 121 PSI. Try selecting a smaller cube size. If cubes are too small and ice is not dispensing properly, water pressure may need to be increased.
4. This unit is equipped with dip switches that are programmed based on water pressure to determine proper ice cube size. Dip switches are located on the main board inside the unit. These dip switches are programmed at the time of installation. If overfilling occurs, notify the technician that installed the unit or call for service. Do not attempt to adjust these dip switches.
5. If the fill tube to the icemaker is not in the correct position, water will overshoot the tray when it fills. This can be confirmed after ice dumps and the tray fills again. The water will freeze in the bottom of the ice bin. Empty bin and defrost with warm water. Dry ice bin completely and replace in the proper position.
