Washing Machine: Spin issues
Was the delicates cycle selected? |
Was the low spin speed selected? |
In certain cycles, spin speeds are restricted to lower RPM. The delicates cycle is one such cycle. This is because the washer is designed to retain more water at the end of these cycles to protect the fabric from shrinkage and wrinkles. Proper fabric care is of the utmost importance. |
The unit has several spin speed options to optimize performance and fabric care. If by mistake, a low spin speed was chosen the unit will not spin out as much water as it would on a higher spin speed. This results in the clothing coming out wetter. If this is the case, choose a higher spin speed to optimize performance. |

| Is a single, bulky item (or a few larger items) in the load? |
| Large items, such as sheets, blankets, pillows, etc., do not distribute evenly across the surface of the drum. Bulky items will not spin out as effectively as an equal size load of smaller items. Evenly distribute the item as best as possible. If needed, add a couple of items to help distribute the weight. |
| Are there excessive suds? |
| Not using HE detergent, or using too much, will prevent the unit from spinning out efficiently. Use the appropriate type and amount of detergent. If residue has accumulated in drum, follow maintenance instructions for removal, prior to washing laundry. |

Does water remain inside after a cycle, or is drain hose kinked or clogged? |
This is usually the result of slow drainage. Confirm the drain hose is installed properly and not kinked or clogged. Check the drain filter at the bottom of the front left side of machine to make certain nothing is obstructing it. Be sure to drain through the manual drain hose first. |
NOTE: If the incorrect spin speed was selected and the cycle has finished, a spin only can be run on the washer if needed to extract more water. Turn on the washer and do not select a washing cycle, press the spin speed key until the desired setting is highlighted, and press start. |
