Not Heating
When the dryer is not heating, check the following:
1. The appropriate cycle was selected. Not all cycles are heat cycles. If a non-heat, air only cycle was selected, it will not heat.
2. For an electric dryer, make sure the circuit breakers are both on or have good fuses. For a gas dryer (or liquid propane), make sure the gas valve is fully open.
3. Venting is installed properly and is not kinked, torn or blocked. If the air flow is restricted through the exhaust duct, it can cause the heating element to shut on and off frequently. This can make it seem as if the unit is not heating.
Venting
Venting should be the appropriate type and length. Never use more than necessary, as this restricts airflow.
Venting should not be kinked, bent, or torn.
It is recommended that the exhaust ducts be cleaned approximately once per year to maintain peak performance.
